Lori Sandler is the founder of Divvies, a fun, national brand of delicious snacks made in Divvies own dedicated nut, egg & dairy free bakery, located in South Salem, NY.  Her youngest son, Benjamin, is the inspiration behind Divvies.  When he was diagnosed with severe food allergies, the social as well as safety realities of the situation became clear.  Lori became a Mom on a mission, and set out to find a solution that would help bridge the divide that may potentially keep anyone with food allergies/restrictions on the outskirts of social events….and let kids be kids!  Lori’s philosophy is that eating and celebrating should always be a shared, inclusive experience; not exclusive only to those without special dietary restrictions/allergies.  Lori calls her work her “labor of love”.  She is passionate about helping families navigate food allergies and lead inclusive, fulfilling lives.  Lori teaches Inclusive Cooking Classes for Kids, where she creates menus that take into account all participants’ food allergies/restrictions to create a safe environment and scrumptiously inclusive meal.  She is also the author of THE DIVVIES BAKERY COOKBOOK, No Nuts, No Eggs, No Dairy JUST DELICIOUS (St. Martin’s Press);  has been a guest on The Martha Stewart Show and CBS’s The Early Show; and has been featured in The New York Times, Gourmet, Vogue, Daily Candy, and Every Day with Rachael Ray.  www.divvies.com @Divvies lori@divvies.com
